Happy New Moon Friday

Hello! Since I haven't made anything crafty in over two weeks, I thought I'd show you some stuff I made a year ago! I went into my archives and clicked on 11/20/08 and found these projects. First is a notepad I made for my dear friend Carin:The image reminds me of us so I had to make her something with it. Here is a closeup of us:
Also, my son Andrew and I collaborated and made this get well card for a Blogging Friend's son last year:

I know a lot of people are going to be watching the New Moon Movie today! I hope you all enjoy it. Truth be told, I read all the books then watched Twilight and the movie let me down. I guess I was expecting more because I liked the books, heard a ton of rave reviews... and it just couldn't live up to the hype for me. That being said, I don't expect to love this next movie either. So I have no plans to see it anytime soon. Maybe when it comes out on video? I've gotta get moving with my day, tons to do, so little time!

I did it again!

Yes, some of you may have noticed... I changed up my blog again. But just a little. I have really been wanting a 3 column blog so that some of my sidebar thingies would be higher up for you all to view. I know that if you are reading just one blog post, you may not see some of the widgets that are lower on the sidepanel. Well, now things are rearranged and you can see more! What do you all think? Better? Oh, and I added some blogs and changed my pic again. My SIL and I decided that this one is a bit better since it looks more like me ;) and I realized that it's facing "into" my blog now, and that's better! Ok, so on to some projects. This first card was made for a Twisted Thursday challenge, but I never uploaded it so I didn't enter it into the challenge. I like it anyway, and it's my first Christmas card of the year! Yea! I need to get these started NOW in order to have them all done in time for Christmas. Seriously. I have had this Bella image colored since LAST Christmas and finally put her on a card! I love this combo of colors and elements, and I think I may duplicate it! I can even change the sentiment and image and make it into a Valentine's card, or anniversary card... Hmmm, the possibilities! And here is yet another note holder I made (ignore the horrible lighting, this just would NOT photo properly!):

I don't have any post it notes that match this holder, that is why there aren't any on it yet. I used all TGF Sunny Glen papers, Stampin' Up retired (I think) ribbon and the digital image from TGF is colored with watercolor pencils and OMS. OH! Actually the polka dot and green hearts are Cosmo Cricket, sorry about that. Well, let me know what you think of the projects and my new (again) blog layout!

One more day til Thanksgiving!

Hey Blog Readers! We only have one more day until Thanksgiving. There are so many things to be thankful for. I have a lot of people in my life that I am thankful for. One of those people is my friend Carin, so I made her some stuff to let her know I appreciate her. Here is the little flower vase I made. I just put some Stampin' Up! rub-ons around the vase and added some ribbon to it to top it off. Next, I made her a little notebook. I just received some perfect images from an image swap. As soon as I saw them I knew they were the perfect cartoon versions of Carin and Me!

This image is called Huggybella and it's from Stamping Bella. Do you see the names I wrote along the edges of the ladies? LOL, yup, that's Carin and Me. I have naturally curly hair and Carin has straight hair, and the outfits even match our personalities! Well, I think I would have straps on my dress, but it's close enough. Here is a pic of the whole notebook:

I used the new Banbury DP from Stampin' Up! I love this paper. It has pink pirouette in it as well as some greens, blues, and it looks great with browns.

Another person that I am eternally grateful for is my husband, David. I won't get all mushy here on my blog, but I love that man. Since he's been in Korea for the last 11 months, 3 weeks, and 4 days (about, lol!) I try to send him paper hugs every once in awhile. This is the last one I sent him:

I used the adorable Cuddles and Hugs stamp set illustrated by Melanie Muenchinger for Gina K. Designs. This card was also made for a challenge that Melanie put forth during the last GKD release party. The challenge was to use 3 or more stamp sets on one card, and I did! You'll have to go to my gallery of SCS (link on my sidebar) to read all the details on the card.

Birthdays and RAKs

It's Wednesday, are you all making it through the week OK? I sure hope so! I've recently gotten some great RAKs in the mail that I want to share with you all. These are two more Halloween cards that my wonderful friend Julie sent to me. Julie has a blog too, and you can check it out HERE. Julie came up with the sketch for the first one on her own (I love that silver embellishment!) and the second one was CASEd from Splitcoaststampers.

Speaking of RAKs, one of my favorite bloggers, Donna Baker, is having a Blog Candy, just because! Anyways, here are a couple birthday cards that I made last weekend. The first one used the last of these Bella images with the cake. She might be called Cakeabella, but I can't remember.

I used some DCWV paper from the All Dressed Up matstack, colored her with my Copics, and added some sticky rhinestones that I picked up at Wal Mart.

This next card was for one of our little neighbors who just turned 3. I used a new stamp from Kim Hughes' new little boy set. I love this set, and just need more excuses to use them! The card was actually a lot more cheery and bright, but it was a grey, overcast day so I couldn't get a decent picture.

Halloween Bella Cards

It's Tuesday, and it feels like it should be FRIDAY already! Geez, it's been a tough week already. I have to say though, it's all the Air Force's fault! We are having issues with getting our orders, but that's a long boring story so on with the cards! Here are some Halloween cards I made just for the fun of it. I got these adorable PumpkinBella images from an image swap. I stamped a few images for someone, and she stamped a few for me, then we swapped. It was fun because I got to get a few images that I thought I'd like, try them out, and decide if I like them enough to buy them. Well I do! I love them and I want more of my own! But the Stamping budget is on hold until after our move... pooh! So anyways, I colored the Bellas with my Copic markers, and used various papers that I had. Some of the paper is Stampin' Up! and most of the patterened papers are Paperchase. The Happy Halloween sentiment and jack o lanterns are from Hero Arts. I had a lot of fun putting these cards together. I had no particular ideas for the cards before I started, but gathered some supplies that I wanted to use, and crafted away!

Bellas and another Birthday party!

Hello!!!
Yesterday we had another birthday party to celebrate! My oldest child turned 10 years old! I can't really believe it, but it's true. I made a smilebox of the party for you all to enjoy, but don't forget to come back to this post and see my Bella cards after you enjoy the Smilebox (it's a short one).

Welcome back! Here are some Bella cards that I have made lately:

This first one was made a couple weeks ago for a baby shower I went to. I paper pieced her outfit, and I love how it turned out. I would actually wear that outfit! This next one is for a sweet little girl who just turned two and shares her birthday with my Andrew! The card will get to her a little late, but it comes along with a book, so I hope she doesn't mind. This next one is for one of my BILs. Yes, it's for a guy, but I figured that since the image has my hair, I can pretend it's me! That way they card isn't too girly for him (I hope!). Finally, these last two are for our neighbors. Two sweet little girls, who are sisters, shared their birthday party with eachother this year. Their birthdays are actually a couple weeks apart, but they had a fun time sharing their birthday. This card is for the older sister:And this one is for the younger sister: The younger sister happens to be one DAY younger than Angel Baby! Yep, our neighbor (three houses over) had their baby girl the day after I had Angel. Crazy, huh?
