I Made It-Spaghetti Cupcakes

I love cupcakes. I love that they are individual-sized servings of deliciousness! And I love that you can make them into ANYTHING.... like this:I used the idea from my copy of Hello, Cupcake! I made these last September... but since my creativity mojo is still so low, I haven't made anything recently to show you all. The meatballs are Ferrero Rocher candies, covered in strawberry jelly. They were incredibly sweet, but yummy! I have been experimenting with my baking a little here and there so I will probably have more to show you in the future; if I remember to take pictures before my creations get all eaten up! See you all on Thrifty Thursday!

Family Friday-Christmas

Happy Friday! Since I took a break from blogging and didn't put up any pictures of Christmas, I decided that today is a good day for it! Here is the BEFORE picture of our little tree and the gifts.
Here is the AFTER picture! It's Mayhem!
And here are a few pictures of the kids. Sorry about the bad lighting. It was still dark that morning! Andrew was in shock that he actually got a mini laptop:
Ashton was OVER joyed about his Nerf gun:
Angel loved her ponies and her Nerf gun too:I hope you all liked this quick recap of our Christmas morning. I'll see you all on Scenic Sunday!

Thrifty Thursday-Costumes

Happy Thursday Friends! This Thursday I thought I'd show you some of Angle Baby's favorite Treasures from the Thrift Store. First up, Angel's Monkey costume:Angel wears this monkey costume so often, it's ridiculous. It's thick and warm and when she wears it, it's like she's a big stuffed animal! Oh, and that adorable pink plaid jacket is a Thrift Store Treasure too! And here is Angel's Asian dress:
She wanted me to put her hair "Like Kai lan's" since she loves that cartoon. She's gotten several other dress up outfits from the Store, mainly princess and fairy dresses. Thanks for stopping by again today and I'll see you tomorrow!

I Made It!

I now it's Tuesday and not Monday, but since I'm running a day behind, Here is my I Made It Monday post for the week. This Christmas I didn't make a ton of cards to send off to everyone. I did make some cards for people who sent me cards though, and I mailed them out AFTER Christmas. I was too busy and unmotivated to get the cards done on time. But it's the thought that counts, right? I used gorgeous papers and chipboard tags and whipped up these vintage looking Christmas cards.
I put them all on Kraft colored card stock and sponged the edges with brown ink.
I used Twine on a lot of the cards, as well as cream card stock edged with a Martha Stewart punch.

I hope you enjoyed Monday's post on a Tuesday! I'll be back on track this Thrifty Thursday. Until them, leave me a comment on my blog and let me know you stopped by!

Family Friday

Hello My Blog friends! It's Friday and I'm posting the last blog post of the week. I did it! A full week of posts! On this Family Friday, I thought I'd show you a couple pics of the kiddos. These pictures were taken in December. First up, Angel Baby with "monkey ears"!She calls pig-tails "monkey ears" because she LOVES monkeys. See those Curious George PJ's? She got them for Christmas and they are one of her FAVORITE things to wear. Also, we got Christmas presents a little late from my brothers up in Canada, and here are some pictures of the kids opening their gifts. Angel LOVES the princess doll she received.
And the boys LOVED beating on each other with the Socker Boppers!
Don't worry, Andrew didn't hurt Ashton in this pic! HAHAHA! They had a blast running around the house and attacking each other.
Well, I hope you enjoyed this brief Family Friday. See you next week and have a WONDERFUL President's Day Weekend!

Thrifty Thursday

I love working at the Aviano AB Thrift Store! I have always loved finding hidden treasures that other people think are junk or trash, and working at the Thrift Store lets me find things like that all the time! One of my latest finds was this BRAND NEW hot pink Christmas Tree!!!The tree is shimmery and fun, and it the PERFECT little tree for my cupcake ornament collection! I love Cupcakes, and the fact that they are a trendy and popular thing right now is making me very happy! I had been looking for a fun little tree to hang my precious Cupcake ornaments on, and this one popped into the store one day and made me so happy. I only have 5 cupcake ornaments right now (had six, Angel baby broke one!) but I will be collecting more over time. I also need to find a totally awesome tree topper... maybe I'll end up making one. Also in this pic you'll see a tiny little cupcake wine bottle cork. That too is a Thrifty Find!
When I brought my pink tree home, I set up this little "cupcake corner" on top of my microwave. Along with the tree, ornaments and cork, I added my signed copy of Cake Pops by Bakerella that I got for Christmas from my wonderful Bro's, Nathan and Alex, the cakepop pins that came with the book, and my adorable Cupcake Wine Glass which was a Birthday Present from my amazing friend, Devon! My little "cupcake corner" made me smile every time I looked at it. It has been moved since this pic was taken. Now I have these all on top of my fridge along with some other decor. But that's for another post...
Until then, SMILE and leave me a comment :)

I Made It!

It's Monday, Valentine's Day and my first official "I Made It!" post! A friend asked me to make a box that he could fill with 32 individual Valentines and send off to his significant other. Unfortunately, they can't be together for Valentines Day so he wanted something special for her. I used a Cosmo Cricket Blackboard Box to make this:
I had such a great time making this. My favorite part is the puzzle embellishment in the lower corner. I used the back of a Christmas chipboard tag, a metal thingy that I FOUND in a parking lot and a sticker of a puzzle piece. After my friend's girlfriend received her box, she gushed over it; especially the puzzle piece. Apparently they have some special meaning between the two of them when it comes to puzzle pieces... and I just happened to add that embellishment onto the box! It was all meant to be.
Well, I hope you all liked my first post on my revamped blog... let me know and don't forget to SMILE!

Too Long...

I've been gone too long from my 'ole blog. I've missed it and missed hearing from my readers! I hope I haven't lost all of you. So I have a plan! I am going to get back into this blogging hobby of mine, but I'm going to change it up a bit. Instead of being mostly a crafty blog, I'm going to spread the love with other things in my life! I noticed that many of my readers are personal friends or family, and they love to hear about more than just my crafting... so I'm going to give it a try. I plan on posting at least 4 times a week, with a theme each day I post. I am going to try these themes:
  • What I Made Monday
  • Thrifty Thursday
  • Family Friday
  • Scenic Sunday (above is a picture of me having a cappuccino in an adorable little cafe down in my town's center)
Mondays will be posts about things I've made including my paper crafts, baked goods, decorations, etc.
Thursday posts will be be about Treasures that I find at the Thrift Store that I manage. I seem to come home with at least ONE fabulous find every week, and since they make me so happy, I would like to share them with you.
Friday posts will be about our family life. I know my friends and family would love updates on what we've been up to, and how the kids have grown up.
Sundays will be mainly picture posts with little or no words. Just a pretty or interesting picture of Bella Italia... I love living here and I want to share that with the world!

Well, I hope there are still people around to see the changes that I plan on implementing here on the 'ole blog. I'm excited about these changes and I think the blog is going to help me keep a little sanity in this crazy life of mine, as well as entertainment for my readers. Until later, SMILE!
