I MADE SOMETHING!!!

Hey there Friends! Are any of you still around???  So I haven't been in the mood to craft with my paper products lately AT ALL. But, I have been learning how to sew! I'll have to share some of my creations on another post, but this post is all about The Burtonesque Dolls Challenge! I love The Burtonesque Dolls Blog and even though I haven't been paper crafting, I've still been checking out the blog. They have a challenge going on right now that you can check out HERE. And this is my entry for the challenge:
This is an digi stamp from Bugaboo Stamps. Can you recognize the character? Bugaboo calls him "Spoiled One"! LOL. Well, poor spoiled Draco used the Floo Network and instead of staying in the world of Wizards, landed in the Wonderful World of Wonka! Yup, Draco is in Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! I hope you like my card, because I'm quite satisfied with it. After all, I was able to achieve a ruffled ribbon on a card after not creating something for MONTHS. Alrighty then, I'm off for the night. Maybe I'll be posting up something soon... oh yeah, I do have an updated picture of our paper chain...
Until next post, Be blessed!

Quick Post

Hey all! I'm about to head off to work after 2 weeks off! It's going to be a busy couple of days but I wanted to post something in case I don't get a chance to pop back on here for a few days. I was able to participate in another TGF challenge! I made this scrapbook page for the Saturday Sketch over on Club Anya & Friends:I bought a scrapbook kit and finally decided to start making the pages for it! The album is travel themed, and I want to scrap the pictures from our Greek cruise. Just imagine a picture of me and the kids in front of our cruise ship on that blank panel on the page!

OK, I have to run off now and finish getting ready for the day! Until next time, be blessed!

Fleur Anya with a sketch!

Hello there! I'm back for the THIRD day in a row! Woohoo! I really hope I can keep this up once I go back to work. I've been on a little summer vacation for the last week and I go back next week, so we'll see...During my little "hiatus" from stamping, I purchased a few stamps and Fleur Anya is one of them. I love how whimsical and spring-like she is! I decided to use the sketch from CA&F's Sketchy Saturday to make a card with Fleur Anya.
This card didn't start out as a bright summery card, but it turned out that way! I used some AWESOME glittery paper I got from my blogging buddy, Jenn Raff sent me after we competed together in the TGF Royal Battle. BTW, did I tell you all we won third place! WOOHOO! Jenn sent me a little package of papers, embellies, etc so I used what she sent. The hearts are stickers and the bigger one says "Best Friends Rock".
I wanted to use the glittery paper so that I could enter this into the Oh, Alice! Ch. 19 challenge for this week as well. I love the Oh, Alice! challenge blog but I haven't played yet. I figure NOW'S the TIME! If you haven't seen the challenge blog yet, you need to go over there and look at all the fabulousness. it will blow you away!
Okay, so it's movie time with the family. I'll see you all next time and until then, be blessed!

It's the FINAL week!!!

WE MADE IT!!! The Time Travelers made it to Week 5 of the TGF Royal Battle! Now we need YOU to go to the TGF blog and vote for us! I can't believe we are actually one of the semi-finalists. Now the pressure is REALLY on because I made our project for this week! ACK! Talk about pressure!!!This week we were tasked to make a girl/boy project so I made party stuff! I used the Wonderland stamp set to make an Alice set and a Hatter set.
I used lots of polka dots and red for Alice and lots of polka dots and green for Hatter.
I made a card, a party blower, a party hat and a party tin! I hope you all love it and will go to the TGF Blog to vote for us! The voting is a little different this time. This week there will only be voting for ONE DAY!!! TODAY!!!! And you have to go to the TGF Blog and vote in the poll on the side panel of the blog. I will link up the blog post as soon as it's there. EDITED: I added the links! Please go vote for the Time Travelers project! I really don't want to let my team down. They've all done such an AMAZING job getting us to this point! I hope I can make them proud.

TGF Royal Battle Week 4!!!

Hey there Friends! My team has made it to the FOURTH week of the TGF Royal Battle!!! I am so excited about this! This week our challenge was to make a candy holder... Well, if you've been reading my blog for a little while, then you'll know that I love to make candy holders, so I was all pumped to make the challenge for this week, but... we're moving! And it just was not going to happen! So Marley stepped up and made this AMAZING lollipop holder: I could not have made a better candy project, it was meant to be for Marley to make the entry this week! So, if you want to support our team, the Time Travellers, please go to this link: http://www.tgfllc.com/galleria/showphoto.php?photo=13811 and vote for our project! If we make it to the next, and FINAL round, then it will finally be my turn to make our project. I can't tell you how nervous that makes me! Especially since, at this moment, half my stamp room is in boxes in my new garage, and the other half is at my old house! AGH!!! But I am up for the challenge and I want us to make it!!! lease go and vote for us. Remember, you have to register in the Galleria to be able to vote, and you can only vote for ONE project this week!
Thanks friends!

Royal Battle Coraline Entry!

First off, HAPPY EASTER!!! I hope your Easter Sunday is a blessed one! We're not doing much today, just a little egg hunt for the kiddos. It's the first year that Angel Baby will be able to RUN for the eggs, so we're looking forward to watching her do that!
Like I was telling you all yesterday, it's week 2 of the Royal Battle over on the Greeting Farm blog. Our team, the Time Travelers has entered a card made by our Superb teammate, Suzi. Here is her amazing Coraline inspired card:
Isn't it amazing?!? I love all the detail she put into the card! The buttons, the key, the moon, the front walkway to the house!!! Wow! So we're hoping to get enough votes to continue on in the Royal Battle. Can you help us out? All you need to do is go to the Galleria HERE and vote for our card! If you aren't registered for the galleria, it's super simple to do and we would REALLY appreciate it! This is just the second battle challenge, but the competition is tough! Every vote counts!
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog today. Now I need to find the charger for my camera so I can take pictures of our egg hunt today!
HAPPY EASTER BLOG BUDDIES!!!

Royal Battle 2 and Anyone For Anya

Hello! It's Saturday, are you enjoying your weekend? We've had a pretty relaxed day so far, with lots of playing outside. Tomorrow is Easter and while we don't have any huge plans, it should be a nice day as well. As long as the weather cooperates that is! So it's week 2 in the Royal Battle of the Design Teams on The Greeting Farm Blog and our team, the Time Travelers has decided on a fantastic card to enter this week! It's not my card, lol, but it is amazing and I love it! I'll post that one tomorrow, but in the meantime I thought I'd show you my card. I altered Oliver and Amelia to make my Angel Baby:Angel loves playing with her big brothers, so she's somewhat of a tomboy! She has these little dino toys and when she plays with them she makes a "ROAR!" and looks so cute. So she inspired me for the 2nd battle challenge. We were challenged to make an easel card:
This was my first attempt at making an easel card, and although I've seen them all over blog-land I haven't actually made one until now. I love the different fold and I know I'll be making more! I have several ideas floating around in my head about this fold, so expect to see some more easel cards from me soon! Also, I used the wonderful sketch from this weeks Anyone For Anya challenge. It was just the right sketch for this card, even though I left out the one element off the middle of the card. Alrighty then, I need to head out the door to a bbq, so I hope you all have a great night and I'll see you in the comments section! ;)

My Royal Battle #1 Card

Hey there friends! Did you all go vote for the Time Travelers' Card yesterday? I sure hope so! If not, you may still have time. Scroll on down and you can read all about it, and click on the links in yesterday's blog post. So, our team has decided that with each weekly challenge, we'll all make a card and then we'll choose amongst ourselves which card to actually enter into the challenge. This way we ALL get to participate, and choose our best chance of continuing on in the Royal Battle! For the first challenge, I looked through my papers to find something that seemed "retro" to me. I found some Scrabble paper, and it even had the right colors on it! Then I inked up Teacher Anya, altered her just a bit, and made this card:
I took off Anya's apple and opened her mouth. I thought she already looked sorta retro with her outfit and hairstyle. The card is simple, but I like the way it turned out anyway. Well, I hope you all have a Terrific Tuesday, and I'll see you all later!

TGF Relay projects

Hello my dear friends! Well, as some of you already know, the fabulous TGF Relay had to come to an abrupt end. With the AMAZING amount of entries, the website couldn't handle it all and kept crashing! Hey, if a website has to crash, having too many people on it is a good way! I wanted to show you the other projects I made for the relay. The first image given to us was Mer-Ian!Isn't he wonderful? I am so happy to now have a partner for my Mermaid Anya Stamp! I used fun blues and green to color him in and then used him on another conversation hearts candy box.
I printed out the sentiment and cut it out to make it look "wavy". Then added pearls randomly all over the DP. Here is a pic of the candy box open:
The Third and final image given to the relay-ers (is that a word?) was adorable Toby Cub! I used him, along with some Cosmo Cricket Cardstock Stickers to decorate a picture frame:
I'm not sure if I'll give this to someone as a gift, or just use it for one of my boys' baby pictures. We'll just have to see.
In other news; tomorrow is my last day as Guest DT member with Anyone for Anya. My card will be posted on their blog tomorrow along with the new challenge for the week. I will post my card on here as well, even though it should be Scenic Sunday, because I haven't taken any good scenic photos lately. lol! Hope to see you all back here tomorrow, and thanks for stopping by!
Be Blessed!

TGF Relay!

Just a quick late LATE late night post! I really want to stay in the TGF CHA Relay, so I have to get this posted and linked up before I go to bed. Since the TGF Galleria has crashed (again! too many people playing in the relay!) I thought I'd try to post this here and have it still qualify for the next leg of the race. So, here is my card using the 2nd free digi, Charlotte:I love her sassy attitude and I thought this sentiment from TGF's "Talk Loud" stamp set fit perfecto! I better get this linked as the deadline is in about 15 minutes... and I'm about 3 hours late for my bedtime! Come back soon, I miss my Blogging Buddies... where are you all???

Blingy Monday

Good Monday Morning Friends! It's a cloudy day here in Northern Italy, but it's supposed to be sunny the rest of the week, yay! Today I am showing you a card that I combined TWO challenges on. I used the digi image, Joyce (I think she was a limited release cuz she's not in the store anymore!):I actually made her blonde! I had never tried this combo before (wish I could remember it!) and it turned out quite nicely. The challenges I used were the Bling Challenge from the last Club Anya & Friends release as well as one of the Sketches from the 12 Days of Sketches on The Greeting Farm's blog. I added sakura glitter pen to Joyce's vest, pants and eyeshadow. Here is a pic of the whole card so you can see the sketch:
You can see that I also added glitter around the edges of the three back panels. For more bling, I punched these tiny butterflies out of paper with metallic gold in it and added some pearls behind them. The crochet flower is from Elena at Bearasaurus and has metallic threads in it! Here is a close up of those things:
Have you seen my Birthday/Blogaversary Blog Candy? If not, scroll on down! I hope you all have a wonderfully Blessed Week!

3 Challenges in 1

Sorry for the absence! I'm now working 3 days a week, and while the third day isn't a full day, it's still another day! lol! I'm going to work out my schedule a little better and give myself more time to craft. I need it in my life, to keep me sane and happy. So, on to my card for today:I colored this adorable Twinkle Tot named Izzy awhile ago. I love her so much! There was a challenge to use the colors gray, pink, cream and green during Club Anya & Friend's release party and since Izzy was already colored in pink and gray, I used her with this fabulous paper to make this card:
I also dressed up the bow to qualify for the ribbon challenge, but since Izzy is a Twinkle Tot I don't think the card qualified. That's ok, I still love the way it all worked out. Not only did I use those two challenge, I also used Sketch 12 from TGF's 12 Days of Sketches. I don't think I've ever done 3 challenges at once!
I hope you all enjoyed my card today. Saturday is my birthday... come back for a YUMMY post!
Be blessed!

School is in Session!

YAY! The boys went back to school today! And they were ready ON TIME! YES!!! lol! I thank God for the little answers to prayer. heehee. Well, if you've been reading, you know that I was trying to complete the 12 Days of Sketches over at the TGF Blog. I ALMOST did it, but not quite. I got 11 of the 12 sketches done on time. I think I'll still do the last sketch today, even though the challenge is technically over. I just want to, you know? Here is a card that I finished up last night using these adorable images that Jo sent me:I have some friends expecting their first child and I had them in mind the whole time I was making this card. I used a few colors that I am not totally comfortable with but I love the patterned paper from October Afternoon so I had to go with it. Here is the card in whole:
This was for Sketch #10, and it gave me a bit of trouble. I couldn't quite figure out how to cut the panels to look right, but it worked out in the end. Thank you all for stopping by again on this Merry Monday! Oh, and did you see the previous post? Hmm? You should scroll down and check it out, then come back again, ok?
Be blessed!

Happy Saturday!

Hello my blog readers, family, and friends! I've been so motivated to get some cards done lately! It's too bad this feeling wasn't around BEFORE Christmas! lol! I admit it, I still haven't mailed out all of my holiday cards. But I am going to. BEFORE my birthday! Oh, and speaking of my birthday... I'm going to have some blog candy coming up! I have a few things set aside just for this special occasion... but more on that in another post! For tonight I have 2 cards to show you. In this first card I used this handsome little guy named Joseph:For all you Twilight fans out there, doesn't he look a little like Jacob? Ahem? LOL! He's the Greeting Farm's variation of that handsome wolfy character. I used this little man in a card that qualified for 2 challenges in one! Here is the card in whole:
I used Sketch 5 from TGF's 12 days sketches and CA&F's 5pm challenge to use a color that is not my "norm". I have a hard time using orange (unless it's Halloween) but I love the color so I grabbed this wonderful paper from Cosmo Cricket's Boyfriend line and went with it! If you want to participate in any of these challenges and get a chance to win yummy goodies, then you have until tomorrow to hop over to The Greeting Farm's blog or Club Anya & Friend's blog and play along!
Also, I did this little card for Sketch #9:
I just couldn't get this card to look "done" to me! I ended up just adding the ribbon and the faux eyelets in the corners and calling it good. I think it's done now... what do you all think?
I hope to hear from a lot of you SOON. I'll be back tomorrow with a fun Scenic Sunday for you all.
Be Blessed!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!

It's 2010, can you believe it? I am praying for a fantastic year, for me and my family and all of you as well. I'm super excited to get this year started and I'm very anxious to see how it pans out. Lots of fun stuff planned, including trips around Europe! Woohoo!!! Today I want to show you the card I made for Sketch #8 using the adorable Miss Santa from the Xmas Sweeties set:
I colored her with my Copics and got the inspiration for the colors from the patterned paper. Here is the card in whole:
I love how this card turned out. I kept thinking it needing something, but I let it sit up on the entertainment center and admired it for a couple days and realized it was just enough. I really like how my bow came out, considering it was some ribbon off a gift I got a long time ago. Here's a better shot of that:
Well, it's late and I should be hittin' the hay. I plan on having a busy, BUSY crafting day tomorrow since Club Anya & Friends is having a super spectacular release party with lots of challenges to do! I have 6 more Sketches to do as well as the challenges, and I really want to get as many of them done as possible, SOOO... night night for tonight and hop on over to Club Anya & Friends and check out the fun!
Be Blessed!

Very Merry Last Day of School!

Hello HELLO! How are you all on this fine Friday? The boys are in school today, but as soon as that last bell rings, they will be off for two weeks for Winter Break! We are looking forward to lots of fun activities including a trip to Salzburg, Austria tomorrow, lots of baking and crafts, and a fun Christmas dinner party at a friend's house! We've started making coffee filter snowflakes for our windows, I bought a new pre-lit Christmas tree, and we're compiling lists of things we want to bake/make! We're so looking forward to this break! David even has the whole week of Christmas off to spend with us! Whoot Whoot!
Ok, ok, now I want to share a card with you. Remember my last post when I said I needed to get my mojo flowing? I made "the List" from the last post and this card:
And guess what? BOTH projects got recognition from The Greeting Farm and Club Anya!!! My "the List" was picked as an honorable mention during the Customer Holiday Blog Hop and this card won the K.I.S.S. challenge on the TGF blog! I can not believe my blessings right now. These wins are especially special to me since I had been in a BIG, no, HUGE-A-MONGOUS stamping rut for oh so long! I even contemplated hanging up my stamping hat indefinitely! I am so glad I didn't though, and now I have new motivation, inspiration, and encouragement to keep crafting. I have all kinds of ideas floating in my head right now for cards and projects. I just hope I can actually get them out of my head and made. Here is a close up of one of the little elves:
She is actually Tink the Fairy but I cut off her wings and gave her this cute little Santa hat to make her an elf. I did the same with Fairy Chloe as you can see here:
I used felt Thickers for the words and the DP is some off brand that I found at an Office Supply store last year. Well, I'm off to my stamp room! I have too many ideas floating around my noggin and I need to make some notes before they dissipate into nothingness. lol! Sorry for my big-wordiness, I'm just in a great mood and I tend to use silly words when I'm happy!
In case I don't "see" you all until next week, have a BLESSED weekend!

OOPS!!

Ok, so the link for the Anyone for Anya button is fixed! I meant to link it to the button on the blog post, and do one for the right panel, but it didn't work out. Now it should work. Enjoy the new challenge blog everyone!!! And I'll talk to you all tomorrow (I hope).

There's a new Challenge Blog in Town

Hey there Friends! I just stumbled upon this new blog that will have challenges all about Anya and her friends at the Greeting Farm! Of course I'm gonna be involved in this; I HAVE to! lol! I'm adding this little button to my right side panel so you all can click on it and check out the details as well. If you love TGF and Anya like I do, give it a go!
I hope you are all having a Stupendous Sunday. I'm off to go pull some weeds out of our driveway... and get a tan while doing it!
Until next post, be blessed!

A Saturday SheetLoad!

LOL, seriously. It's Saturday and I want to show you my SheetLoad of cards from June! I can't believe I forgot to post this since I had so much fun with all the different embellishments. Well, first let me tell you what a SheetLoad of Cards is. SheetLoad is a wonderful site that posts a monthly SheetLoad of Cards issue. This monthly issue will help increase your card stash, one great layout at a time. For June's issue, I downloaded it, printed it out (because I love having the actual issue in my hands) and followed the simple cutting dimensions and made EIGHT cards! Then I went about assembling them and embellishing them to my heart's content. I had so much fun and discovered some new ways to embellish my cards. Here is my whole SheetLoad (you cna click on the picture to see a closeup): AND, I used the stamp (Spring Fever) that I WON from Shirley's 2 Girls Twisted Thursday challenge a month or so ago (click on the button on my sidebar to check out the Twisted Thursday challenges!). I stamped the image and colored it with my copics. I used Cosmo Cricket papers on the cards. Here you can see two of the embellishments that I made:
The white flower button originally came with a yellow center, but I popped that out and put the blue button with twine instead. On the bottom one, I added some red ribbon behind it to look like another layer of petals. Here are a couple more:
On the top you can see that I did the blue button on the white flower button again, but right below that I put a pink heart brad on a white flower button instead. They are both on a ruffled piece of ribbon. At the bottom of the picture you can see that I used white ribbon with a green button to make another type of flower embellishment. That one is my favorite! Here are a couple more:

The top blue button was threaded, the green button was threaded and then I used yellow scalloped ribbon to make a flower. The pink button was threaded with yellow floss and glued on top of a yellow flower button. Well, those are all the amazing embellishments for my SheetLoad of Cards. What did you think? If you have any questions on how I made any of them, let me know and I'll do my best to answer. I'm thinking of doing a whole post on making flowers and flower embellishments... I've had so much fun making them lately. OH, and guess what... I WON RUNNER-UP FOR JUNE!!! YEP! You can go HERE and see the blog post announcement. My SheetLoad won Runner-up! I am so excited since it was my first time entering! I'm working on my July SheetLoad. You can play too. Go HERE and check it out!

I hope you all enjoyed my post today and I hope you have a Suberb Saturday. Be blessed, I know I have!
