Sorry it's been so long...

I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted! My husband went back to Korea on the 26th of June, and I feel like time has gotten all jumbled since then. I can't believe it's already the 4th of July! Happy Independence Day Everyone! I hope your day is filled with fun, and also take a moment or two to remember how blessed we are to live in this country. Here is a picture of the Five of Us the day before David had to go back.We are quite the motley crew aren't we? LOL! And yes, Andrew is growing out his hair! He wants it to curl, but so far it's just sticking straight out of his head like a 'fro. He doesn't mind it so much, so I'm trying not too...
And here is a cute little pink card I made a while back for a Gina K. Release Party Challenge. I think Olivia Ostich (that's what I call her anyway) is adorable in PINK. And since today is a day that a lot of people get together to party, I figure it's kinda appropriate (minus the color scheme anyway). I'll try not to have such big gaps between my posts anymore, but no promises. Life tends to slip away from me most days. I suppose that is a good thing when you are counting down for something (Approximately 148 days to ITALY!) but not so good when you miss out on your daily blessings. Zebras Zebras Everywhere!

Hi Blog Readers! I hope you are having a Marvelous Monday, despite the fact that it's Monday. LOL!
I've been using my stamps designed by Melanie Muenchinger a lot lately. I think my favorite image out of all of Melanie's stamp sets is the Ostrich in her Jumping for Joy set, but I can't seem to stop using the Zebra on everything! Maybe it's because the Zebra looks great stamped in any color, or stamped in black and colored in, or just stamped in black! Here are a few cards and a couple onesies that I made a couple days ago. They cards are all the same layout, just different colors and the bling is a little different on each of them. And this sentiment, "Kick up your heels!" could be used for so many things! I could send them for Congratulations cards, just because cards, birthday cards, and more. I know, I know, I sound like an infomercial. Sorry! LOl!But I really do love these cards. I'm very happy with how they turned out, especially since I didn't know how the card was going to come together before I started. The last one with the red is my favorite I think.These onesies came out cute, but the ink isn't as vibrant as I'd hoped.

Maybe I need to use a different type of ink? I don't know.

Super Star Zebra

My little sister will be (or is?) 11 (or 12?-no, 11) this year. She's growing up so fast and I'm missing it. She lives in California (with our two brothers too) and I don't get to see them. It sucks, but life and God take you places and you must do what you need to while you're there. So, I made her this birthday card. It came together especially for her since I started it not knowing what I was going to do and put it all together while thinking of her. I really hope she likes it. Sorry it's such a crappy picture. I took the picture, put the card in the envelope and sealed it before I uploaded the pic and realized I could barely see the image! Oh well. It is a zebra, and the star balloon says "super star" on it. Also, the star and the mat for the image are silver cardstock, even though you can't see them very well. Also, if you look really closely at the bottom right hand corner of the picture, you can see Angel Baby's feet! LOL! I put the card in the slats of her crib to take the pic while she was laying in it. I love those little toes! I also love these two guys:
It's my hubby and Ashton. My husband is here until the 26th, only a few days away, then he has to go back to Korea and finish his tour. It's crap! I hate Korea right now. But, he's done on December 7th and what doesn't kill us makes us stronger, right? God gets us through all the tough stuff, and we come out better in the end. There's a reason that God puts us where we are, even if it's apart from our loved ones. I just have to keep reminding myself of that. Ok, so thanks again for stopping by my little blogging world. Hoppy Birthday!

HI People!!! That's what my Angel Baby is saying in this photo! LOL! She's learning how to stand, with help of course. Silly girl doesn't know how to sit or even crawl yet, but she loves to stand! That's her daddy behind her, making sure she stays safe. He loves her so much, and he's so protective.

So, Melanie Muenchinger designs some awesome stamps, have I mentioned that before? LOL! This weekend another of her stamp sets will be released, and I'm trying to win one for free. So, I'm uploading a bunch of the cards I've made using her stamp sets. This is a card I made using one of her sets called Just So Hoppy.

I made a pop-out card! This is a first for me. Lauren Meader had this as a Saturday Sketch Challenge on her blog. I started this quite a while ago, but finally got it done. Rockin' Guitar Card

So, I got this awesome paper (from DCWV Rockstar Mat Stack) a month or so ago and I loved the page with the big guitar on it most. I just didn't know how to use the paper since I loved the guitar and the swirls, but they were too big to use on a card, or so I thought. I cut out the images and glued them onto a premade card, and WhaaLaa! The swirls didn't cut out as well as I'd liked, but they look ok. I used the "you rock!" sentiment from Gina K. Designs Kindred Spirits Dad Sentiments. I've wanted a sentiment like this for awhile now. If you remember, I wrote that sentiment onto a birthday card a little while back because I didn't have a stamp. Now I want another one with the same words, only bigger! LOL! This card went out to one of my nephews for his 7th birthday. It was so great seeing the family when I went to the mainland at the beginning of the month. It was a quick trip to take care of some PCS moving business, but we were able to see DH's family since they live in LA and San Diego and we needed to go there to take care of business. The little man who's getting this card isn't so little anymore! I remember him when he was 3 or 4 and now he's 7! WOW! I just hate that they live so far away and it's so darn expensive to travel. And when we move to Italy at the end of the year it will be next to impossible to visit. It wouldn't be so bad if the family didn't get along so well! LOL! Seriously, if these people weren't my inlaws, they would all be my best friends anyway! Actually, I was friends with some of them before I ever even met my husband. But that's another whole blog post, LOL!

Wow, how time flies!

So, I've been really busy since I last posted! My DH is taking his midtour break so we've been spending lots of "family time" lately. For all you non-military folk, I'll explain the midtour thing a bit. My DH is currently serving a one year hardship tour in Korea. This tour is unaccompanied so he's there without the kids and me, and we're here in Hawaii with Mom. With this tour, the Air Force gives us one 30-day break so that DH can come spend time with his family. Unfortunatley he has to use his leave days, and our own money, to take the break but when we've been apart for so long, I don't care about losing the leave or the money. Especially since DH hasn't seen Angel Baby since she was 5 days old! ANYWAYS... there has been lots of family time going on and not so much stamping time. I made a couple cards for Father's day though!

I had Andrew pick out three images to use to represent him, his brother, and his sister, and he picked these 3 out! He said that he is the monkey, Ashton is the frog since he is always "hopping" around, and Angel Baby is the chick because she's cute (of course lol!). The faux eyelets are from Gina K. Designs. I love that I can just stick them on and not worry about punching holes and lining them up and hiding the back of the brads. I got this Kindred Spirits stamp from Gina K. Designs because when I saw it I was reminded of hiking with my dad when I was a kid. My dad loves taking photos and he took some that looked a lot like this image when we would go hiking. Here is an upclose of the image colored with my copics. I finally went out and bought some browns and skin tones. I got a couple with my Copic Marker club, but I needed a few more (sure I NEEDED them!).

And this adorable card is a RAK I received from Linsey!!! I love the bunny and all her Aloha wear! SO appropriate now that summer is here and I'm in Hawaii! THANKS SO MUCH LINSEY!!! I especially love her coconut shell bra and lei on top of it. If you all could see it in real life you'd be amazed at all the 3-d embellies.

Teacher's gift, finally

Yeah, talk about last minute, I know! Thursday is Andrew's last day of school and I just now finished up his teacher's gift. I had other things in mind, but Andrew wanted to give her this stuff, so this is what I worked with. Sorry for the bad picture, there's no good daylight left. I used Gina K. Designs new 1 free with 3 stamp set (I think it's called Summertime, or You are my Sunshine-can't remember) and made a tag for the foot pampering stuff, a belly band for the tea, and a card. We also added a bag of the most delicious chocolate. My son has good taste. He picked out the dark chocolate Ghiradelli squares! I wanted to keep them...

Well, that's it for my crafty post today. I'm gonna go play HORSE with Andrew before it gets too dark out. He wants to spend "quality time" with me before I head off the island... Goin' to Vegas baby! LOL! I totally don't talk like that! But yeah, I'm headed to Vegas. I'm looking forward to hanging out with some friends I haven't seen in WAY TOO LONG and them we're headed over to Cali to see some of the familia. Can't wait!!!
